Parking Area Maintenance, Inc. is a full service asphalt paving and maintenance contractor with over 41 years of experience. We specialize in asphalt paving, asphalt repair, asphalt sealing, and asphalt pavement maintenance for professionally managed properties in the state of Florida. Parking Area Maintenance, Inc. has two major operating divisions: Asphalt Paving and Pavement Maintenance.
We are a "One Source" Paving Contractor. We provide site preparation, asphalt paving from new construction to asphalt repair, sealcoating, line striping, wheel stops, concrete repair and concrete curbing. Likewise, we offer a wide variety of products and are certified applicators of Jennite pavement sealer and StreetPrint pavement texturing.
Our goal from day one has been to provide quality pavement maintenance services for professionally managed properties at a competitive price. While growing in size and experience over the years, we have never lost sight of our original goal.
The owners of the company started working in the paving industry back in Omaha, NE, working for, and eventually owning, a pavement maintenance company started in 1953, by Terrie Gilligan's grandparents. Terrie is the current president and part owner of Parking Area Maintenance, Inc. Looking for a warmer climate, Terrie and a handful of other family members moved to Tampa in October, 1984, and started up Parking Area Maintenance, Inc. as a full service paving contractor specializing in sealcoating, patching, and striping. Hard work and a commitment to excellence gained us a reputation for integrity and dependability that Tampa Bay's business community could count on for outstanding quality and service.
We have experienced tremendous growth, expanding from three employees and $350,000 in revenue in 1984, to over 85 employees and over $12,000,000 in 2002. We moved to our present Tampa headquarters in 1999, and opened our first branch office in Sarasota in 1998. We will be opening several other branch offices throughout Florida as we continue to expand our market.
Parking Area Maintenance, Inc. developed and implemented a Total Quality Management program, laying the ground work for continuous improvement company wide. Our strong commitment to this program is evident throughout the company and the TQM program will serve as an avenue for all future growth-ensuring that our original commitments to outstanding quality and service are maintained as we expand.
